Following the company launch in January 2013 Isle of Man based Döhle Corporate and Trust Services Limited (DCTS) continues to expand its services by opening an office in Malta.
The company’s offices are in Floriana close to Valletta and the Grand Harbour and officially opened its doors for business on 16th September.
Commenting on the opening of the new office, Director Robert Tobin said: “We have been active in terms of Maltese corporate entities and associated services, such as yacht importation, for a significant period of time so it made good business sense to open a fully serviced office in this progressive jurisdiction.
“With a combination of Malta’s full membership of the EU, the strength of its banking sector and its diverse and growing economy we see a strong future for Malta, particularly in the yachting and aviation industries”.
Expanding on Tobin’s remarks DCTS Managing Director Eckhard Garbers said: “Over recent years Malta been very successful in growing its yachting business, however there are other facets in its business base and capabilities which also attracted us, for example; a flourishing E-gaming sector, a new but very capable aviation register which allows for private and commercial registrations and a strong funds sector. As DCTS grows and diversifies these capabilities will, I am sure, prove to be key elements in our client offerings and services.
“Our Malta office will work closely with the Isle of Man business and the group headquarters in Hamburg. This is an exciting time for Döhle and in particular the trust and corporate services business. In the last year we have successfully merged two businesses into a growing and entrepreneurial fiduciary company and with our new office in Malta we are demonstrating our determination to be an international force in corporate service provision”.
Concluded Robert Tobin: “We have a very experienced team of people in the Isle of Man and their abilities are now complemented by similar expertise in Malta. As a result our yacht business clients will greatly benefit from our decision to open the new office”.
